About the event
On September 4, 2025, Karen Berman, Ph.D. was the guest speaker at the Volunteer Museum Educator's Meeting at the Breman Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. The meeting was attended by the docents, volunteers and staff of the Breman Museum. Dr. Berman presented an address titled "Upstanders Using Holocaust Arts for Healing" with a question and answer session. The address highlighted parts of the two-volume set Stories of the Holocaust: Art for Healing and Renewal. Rabbi Prass, who wrote the Afterword, and survivor Manuela Mendels Bornstein, whose story is featured in Chapter 18 of volume I, were in attendance. Dr. Berman signed books after her presentation and Stories of the Holocaust: Art for Healing and Renewal is now on sale at the Elinor Rosenberg Breman Museum Shop.
