On August 12, 2025, Karen Berman, Ph.D. was the guest speaker at the meeting of the Milledgeville, Georgia Kiwanis Club at the First Presbyterian Church of Milledgeville. Dr. Berman presented an address titled "The New Two Volume Book Stories of the Holocaust: Art for Healing and Renewal" to the club. For many years the Milledgeville Kiwanis Club was led by the late Jake Goldstein, prominent Central Georgia businessman who served in Patton's Third Army in World War II that liberated the Buchenwald concentration camp.
