About the event
The International Psychoanalytical Association held their conference in summer 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal titled Psychoanalysis: An Anchor in Chaotic Times. We also want to express our gratitude for the contributions of Dr. David M. Milch, founder of The Dr. David M. Milch Foundation (DMF), which is committed to supporting youth mentoring programs and arts based initiatives that foster positive social change. We were thrilled to be part of the conference speaking about Stories of the Holocaust in a preconference intensive session chaired by contributing author, Dr. Nancy Goodman.
There were 4 presentations and group discussions of 1 ½ hours each in our session, focusing on severe types of trauma, paths of containment, and the space for knowledge that opens. With international psychoanalysts, we addressed contemporary and historic traumas through the perspective of the arts.
